When I asked my mother-in-law and father-in-law-to-be for permission to marry their daughter, my father-in-law asked me two questions. "One, do you promise to love my daughter? Two, do you promise to take care of her?" The greatest advice I have ever been given when it comes to marriage is to love my wife. I know, it sounds too simple right? Duh, we are supposed to love our spouse. But, what is love? Love is something more than a feeling...it is an action. Love is sacrificing your own desires for the needs of others. Everything in your life will revolve around the opportunity to love deeply.
